Bleach Brixton – Timber Shopfront

A brand new Timber shopfront for Bleach in Brixton, London.

Bleach Brixton is a branch of the popular hair stylist chain ‘BLEACH’ which has outlets across London. The Brixton shop opened in 2017 with the existing aluminum shopfront & shutters in place. The old shopfront, which was fitted over 30 years ago was not fit for purpose and required a huge upgrade.

After meeting with the owner of Bleach Brixton, Alisha Dobson, it was ascertained that a new shopfront was required to bring the shop up to date but to also help with insulation. The current shopfront would leave the shop feeling cold.

The plan was to remove the existing shopfront & shutters, but also increase the height of the shopfront, removing existing sections of the timber frame above. The new shopfront would be hardwood Timber, with all glazing to be double glazed units, to ensure high levels of insulation.

Due to the large scale of the project, the majority of the work took place over one day. With a 9 man team on site, all 3 sides of the shopfront were removed with a new timber shopfront & glazing installed. The shopfront was finished off over the following week, including the installation of new internal roller grilles.
